Overview 

A custom software project is a big investment that stands and falls on satisfying the user-perspective. As an additional safeguard we offer a specialized user-interface validation service, Intention-based gap-analysis (IBGA). After having defined the business need and story-boarded the solution an interactive prototype actual designed graphical elements (at near production level) is created and sample users are asked to complete the core tasks of the application where we record their actions electronically (every click when/where in the app) and visually (video-recording them while trying to accomplish the tasks in order gauge facial expressions and other actions). We then debrief by interviewing them as to their thought process where they did not follow the intended process, were confused or otherwise frustrated. Based on this feedback we then re-design interactive prototypes until a “reasonable” user gets it right on the first try without any manuals. The emphasis on interactive prototypes which is a significant investment is grounded in the believe that there is no real substitute for actual users actually seeing and using the app interactively. While this is a large undertaking it is one that protects your investment and actually can improve it significantly benefiting your ROI. We offer IBGA as an optional service.
