Shane Erickson 

Board Member 

Shane Erickson brings a strong entrepreneurial background with more than 20 years of entrepreneurial experience and 3+ years of public accounting experience to MentorMate's board. Mr. Erickson was also a consultant and financial strategist for Cedar Valley Exteriors, which he helped grow from $10M to $25M in revenue over a two-year period. Ultimately, he helped create a new management structure for Cedar Valley, and guided the company through an 8-figure private equity deal that closed in 2008.

A true entrepreneur himself, Mr. Erickson is the Founder and President of his own company, Innovative Marketing Consultants (IMC). IMC is a successful promotional and retail products importer and distributor with a steady history of growth that dates back to 1991. Mr. Erickson founded this company just one week after his college graduation, eventually growing it into a 20-person business that was recognized in 2004 as one of the Inc. 500's Fastest Growing Small Businesses and, in 2009, as one of the prestigious Inc. 5000.

From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Erickson was at the CPA firm Lafayette & Fairchild as a senior staff accountant working in corporate and personal taxation and auditing. In addition to his CPA certificate, Mr. Erickson holds a real estate brokers license. For more than ten years, Mr. Erickson has been an active member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), a national think tank of business people that brings together 7,300 entrepreneurs. Mr. Erickson studied at St. Cloud State, earning his B.S. degree in Accounting in 1991.
