Team Lead – Business Analysis

Teams leading responsibilities
  • Manage a team of several business analysts 
  • Build strong relationships with their direct reports
  • Act as mentors and provide supervision to more junior team members
  • Coach individuals in terms of personal and technical development
  • Accountable for performance management of their direct reports
  • Conduct interviews and assess the skills and knowledge of the candidates
  • Engage and contribute to department initiatives and optimizations
Project and client responsibilities
  • Act as a bridge between business owners and development teams during the creation of new systems 
  • Communicate with clients to gain an in-depth understanding of their business, processes, and services
  • Build a strong relationship with the stakeholders and direct them towards maximizing business value
  • Lead business analysis activities during project definition phase and take high-level business requirements from key stakeholders
  • Lead requirement gathering workshops including a large number of stakeholders and driving them to one final delivery
  • Collaborate with technical architects to analyze and document the business requirements
  • Work with the project management team to ensure quality and on-time delivery
  • Analyze and optimize business processes
  • Produce project documentation such as functional requirements, diagrams, etc.
  • Produce product backlog of fully defined epics and user stories
  • Support product owners to scope and prioritize stories to ensure the development process is aligned with the objectives
  • Take the lead in estimating and validating the requirements with the development team
  • Lead SCRUM meetings such as sprint plannings and backlog groomings
  • Be the first point of contact for answering the team’s questions
What we are looking for
  • 5+ years of experience in a Business Analysis position
  • Previous experience in a leadership role
  • Very good understanding of different software development methodologies
  • Excellent knowledge of business analysis best practices and ability to effectively apply them
  • Ability to lead/organize/manage development process for complex software projects 
  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical individuals, both in gathering information and communicating direction and status
  • Ability to identify risks in the project and communicate them
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills 
  • Strong team building and people management skills
  • Ability to provide constructive and encouraging feedback
  • Excellent spoken and written English
