For this reason, we thoughtfully created the MentorMate Career Path, which aims to show how to grow as a professional in our company. What are the benefits of the MentorMate Career Path? Our Career Path serves as a roadmap for the professional development of each MentorMate team member. Moreover, it provides information about the technical and soft skill requirements for upskilling and taking the future steps of the individual professional journey within the company. The Career Path: Provides opportunities for people to determine their own goals based on how they want to grow Serves as a foundation and reference point for career discussions Cultivates a culture of proactiveness regarding personal career growth What does a career path at MentorMate look like? Career path specifics may vary by department but follows the Intern, Junior, Regular, and Senior path. Then based on their career interest, team members can continue to advance into three primary directives: Architect — for more technically-oriented people People Lead — focusing on leadership and coaching Delivery Lead — focusing on client success At the top level of those three focus areas are Technology Principal, People Manager, and Delivery Manager. Here is an example of our Development departments: Besides following the career path in one department, people can switch to a different team if they believe the opportunities there better reflect their professional goals. For example, team members can switch from a Software Development position to a Client Strategy role provided they meet the career shift’s technical and soft skills requirements and want to develop in the new area. What are the criteria for career development? There are five categories of criteria that we consider: MentorMateness relates to how we do business and work together. It also relates to our professionalism, work ethic, and attitude. These are an integral part of the company’s culture and fundamental criteria for being part of MentorMate. Leadership and Ownership incorporate initiative, resolving problems, managing oneself and others to effectively set and meet commitments and goals, thinking, acting, and reacting as if the other party’s needs and problems are yours. Technical Competencies and Processes is about using technology to effectively and efficiently provide MentorMate’s clients with high-quality solutions that satisfy their business needs. Specific aspects of technical contribution differ based on roles and seniority. But at the center of everyone’s day-to-day job are out-of-the-box thinking, innovation, and technical knowledge. In addition, these criteria measure the adherence to our development processes, practices, and standards, which are set internally by MentorMate or by our clients. Client Satisfaction is about our efforts in delivering our clients’ purpose and is intended to capture individual contributions toward our goal of maintaining 100% client satisfaction. It is about team members’ commitment to making client satisfaction a top priority. Upskilling and Knowledge Sharing is about the passion for learning, growing, and sharing knowledge.
