We’re looking for an experienced director-level HR professional to lead our HR teams and initiatives globally, and help drive MentorMate’s mission and business success to the next level. Reporting to the CFO, the Global Director of HR will be responsible for leading global people operations and developing a people-focused approach that combines the needs of our employees with the bottom line of the business. As the Global Director of HR, you’ll act as a trusted advisor and partner to our executive and senior leadership teams, providing consulting and coaching on topics such as organizational design & effectiveness, talent retention, and ensuring employee engagement and development. This role involves senior management-level business partnering, country HR subject matter expertise as well as people management. You’ll collaborate closely with your peers, the regional HR Managers in Bulgaria, Paraguay, and the United States, and other People Teams such as Talent Management, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Finance & Legal, to design and deliver high-quality, scalable, and customer-centric people services. As the Global HR Director, you’ll be part of a dynamic, global team, helping to shape the future and making a difference in people’s lives. Responsibilities Develop and implement HR strategies that support the overall business objectives and drive company growth Be part of the global Senior Leadership Team designing and driving the overall people agenda Establish new and evolve existing HR practices and policies balancing global consistency with regional specifics Lead, inspire, and develop a team of Regional HR Managers and Generalists in Bulgaria, Paraguay, and the US (team size 10+) Become a trusted strategic partner to our Regional Management Teams Create and drive business impact for key stakeholders and employees, ensuring a competitive advantage in MentorMate’s existing and future markets Partner with functional divisions to develop the culture, promote mission and values, and retention of top talent Understand business priorities and translate them into an HR plan that drives results in support of strategic business initiatives Develop and implement recognition and benefits programs to motivate and retain employees globally Engage with the monitoring and optimization of the performance evaluations processes Build a foundation to scale products and initiatives across our global organization Requirements 8+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally in a fast-paced, growth environment across multiple countries Experience managing HR functions in multinational organizations preferably in the software development field Excellent cross-cultural communication, strong leadership skills, and ability to lead and inspire a team Fluent in English, Bulgarian and Spanish are a plus Advanced knowledge of HR functions and ability to recommend new approaches Change-oriented mindset with experience in guiding leaders through organizational effectiveness, design, and change initiatives Experience in supporting highly distributed, global teams Proficiency with HR information systems.
