Based primarily in the USA and Eastern Europe today, our technical architecture team works with a diverse set of prospects and clients to provide patterns and platform choices that meet their needs. The GMTA will be responsible for leading, retaining, growing, mentoring, managing and coaching a team of technical architects in pursuit of best-in-class architecture. The GMTA will also be responsible for the development and operationalization of best practices and standards that lead to excellence in architecture service delivery. The GMTA will partner with cross-functional teams in Sales and Account Management, Client Strategy, and Engineering Operations to align client technology expectations with the capabilities of MentorMate and to ensure reasonable effort and duration commitments are made during the proposal phase. Additionally, the GMTA is accountable for the internal performance metrics of the Technical Architecture team, including utilization, margin, retention, and employee satisfaction. A successful candidate has a track record of successful career development, supervision, and strategic execution in a technical architecture function. They are analytical, business savvy, empathetic, emotionally intelligent, and derive their job satisfaction from making others successful in their roles. While they may work directly with clients to consult on their technology needs, they will not take on a direct individual contributor role in engineering delivery. Responsibilities Internal Create global vision and strategy for developing Technical Architecture competencies Responsible for the department’s stability and growth Manage KPIs, financial investments and ROI Manage strategic operations like hiring, project staffing, training, engagement, retention Set goals for the development of the department that contribute to the company moonshot Member of the MentorMate Senior Leadership Team Clients & Business Аnalyze the business needs and deliver ballpark estimates Help the Client Strategy team with research and advice Negotiate scope in proposals Ensure teams engineer according to high global standards and client needs Requirements Strong English proficiency, both written and verbal 7+ years in the technical architecture area with strong technical knowledge Broad knowledge of technology platforms including Cloud, iPaaS, custom code, and low code/no code platforms Proven track record in shipping software projects/products (5+) Previous experience in leadership or management role Hands-on experience with applying technical enterprise patterns Ability to settle into a new environment quickly Ability to multitask and manage multiple streams of activity shifting focus regularly Ability to gain the trust of prospect and client engineering leadership Commitment to quality and thorough approach to work About Our Company We developed our first mobile app in 2001.
