Growth Hacker

We’re looking for a brilliant Growth Hacker to join us at MentorMate. In this role you’ll help bring together all the threads of a story and weave coherent messages across multiple platforms to raise awareness of MentorMate and promote our culture.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to use growth hacking and digital marketing techniques not (just) to fire metric-raising clickbait out into the ether, but actually to tell a coherent cross-platform story that people want to follow – whether it’s thinking about how we can use an engineering blog post to support an ad campaign, or working out how to expand the contribution to a tech webinar with a LinkedIn content strategy or a TikTok video.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategy, planning, execution, and ongoing optimization for MentorMate’s digital marketing channels.
  • Maintain social media platforms and management tools. Help us boost the right ones for MentorMate.
  • Organize external webinars and podcasts which set standards from start to finish.
  • Participate in the design, development, and content updating of MentorMate’s websites.
  • Be the guardian of all the automation processes we use to drive relevant traffic and applications.
  • Outperform the industry standards when it comes to email blasts.
  • Find creative and new ways to enhance our employer branding efforts and positive image among the software community.
  • Manage tactical execution of content and digital marketing strategies including development of publication/posting/emailing and tracking.
  • Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from content you put out through social media, email campaigns, newsletters, webinars, and other initiatives.
  • Stay on top of all the information coming out of MentorMate, help craft that information into a consistent story, and distribute that story across multiple channels and platforms.
  • Be the bridge that connects people in departments across the company, helping them maintain a publishing and reposting cadence that works for them — and for others.
Requirements
  • 1 - 2 years of professional growth hacking/digital marketing experience.
  • A tech-savvy person who wants to deepen her/his knowledge and learn more every day.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media marketing platforms and optimization based on copy, creative, and placement.
  • Experience working with Facebook Ads, Google Ads/Display Network, Linkedin Ads.
  • Experience supporting brands publicly via digital marketing.
  • Experience thinking differently and finding ways to present ideas that no one will be expecting.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. Fluent English.
  • A passion for creativeness.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be proactive, data-driven, punctual, and work with minimum direction.
Nice to have
  • Experience working with HubSpot. 
  • Experience working with WordPress.
  • Experience working with Canva.
  • Experience working with Zoom, Eventbrite, Meetup.
  • Video shooting and editing skills (Premiere Pro). 
  • Basic design skills.
  • Basic HTML and CSS skills.
