Senior Payroll Specialist

We are currently looking for a positive and organized Senior Payroll Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting team in Sofia, Bulgaria. This role is open for a hybrid working model (a combination of working from the Sofia office and working from home) with working hours between 12 and 8 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, process, and track all documents related to the conclusion, amendments, and termination of employment agreements
  • Complete and keep employees’ personnel files in accordance with the applicable legislation, state requirements and regulations, and the internal company policy
  • Actively participate in the overall payroll process
  • Track and process sick leaves and time-off requests
  • Complete various types of official notes and certificates upon request
  • Prepare reports for the management
  • Communicate with employees in regard to their employment and personal files
  • Communicate with the health and safety service
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Relevant university degree or additional qualification 
  • Deep understanding of the Bulgarian Labor Code and related legislation
  • Excellent computer literacy including Microsoft Word/Excel and Google applications
  • Experience with payroll software
  • Well-organized, flexible, and with attention to detail person
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • Responsible and team-oriented person
  • Good command of English, both verbal and written
  • Expertise or degree in Accounting/ Finance
