Financial Controller

We’re currently looking for a Financial Controller who will be in charge of supervising the daily financial operations of the company, getting involved in the business, offering proposals, identifying opportunities, and managing work teams. As well as controlling finances, you will be in charge of designing strategies within their area, relying on the areas of management and accounting. This position is focused on the management of the company’s budget, expense forecasts, and taxes.

Responsibilities
  • Management of the strategic planning processes and financial risks, such as preparation of the company's budget, due diligence and contingency plans
  • Management of financial report and control processes: guarantee compliance with accounting and taxes; detection of errors, deviations and opportunities for improvement in financial terms and comply with the requirements of external and internal audits
  • Management of specific company reports based on the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Analyze corporate financial performance and propose recommendations (such as company profitability and employee productivity)
  • Supervise treasury and funds for common expenses and investments.
  • Supervise payroll processes and reports
  • Analyze local accounting reports for Paraguayan authorities
  • Leading and training accounting teams under his responsibility
  • Comply with and enforce the legal regulations associated with international and local financial reporting standards, as well as company standards
You must have
  • 5+ years of experience in roles such as Financial Analyst, Controller, or similar positions
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Administration, Finance, or similar
  • Experience working with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Excellent tactical and strategic planning skills
  • Experience with management, leading departments or teams
  • Excellent spoken and written English
Nice to have
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Auditing
  • Knowledge of ERP software such as Odoo
