MentorMate Appoints Joe Angell as Head of Healthcare, Americas

Minneapolis, MN, 04.14.2025 /PRNEWS/ — MentorMate has named Joe Angell as new Head of Healthcare for the organization’s Americas Market. He stepped into the role on April 7 following Josh Marquart’s transition from Head of Healthcare, Americas to Head of Americas Market in mid-March. 

Leading the healthcare vertical for the Americas, Angell’s primary responsibility is to grow it both in terms of revenue and market share. He will partner with the sales team in defining MentorMate’s positioning and value proposition across the entire healthcare industry in the Americas — payers, providers, and pharmaceutical organizations. Drawing on solid experience in larger consulting firms, in his new role, he will implement consulting best practices that can be leveraged both in the healthcare space and across the enterprise.

With over 20 years of experience in leading technology, product, and transformation teams in the healthcare domain, Angell has held a leadership position for more than 12 years.

While the last decade has seen a huge number of healthcare players make fundamental changes to their entire organization through digital transformation, he expects the next ten years to put more focus on the leveraging of data for valuable insights. To retain a competitive edge, technology companies must be prepared to have deep benches in data modeling and analytics, specific to healthcare.   

Angell hopes that his presence in the team will bring additional domain knowledge across MentorMate’s and its parent company, Tietoevry Create’s, healthcare vertical. One of his major goals is to increase recruiting in both big data and AI with an emphasis on healthcare experience. He is confident that the company’s global structure and design-led approach will position it well on the market.
