MentorMate Launches Data Practice, Databricks Partnership The announcement comes on the heels of MentorMate’s recent Bulgaria-based Data Cloud Solutions Ltd acquisition. April 12, 2022 Minneapolis, MN, April 11, 2022 /PRNEWS/ — Furthering its shift towards being a premier digital transformation company, MentorMate launched its Data Center of Excellence (DCOE) this month. The announcement comes on the heels of MentorMate’s recent Bulgaria-based Data Cloud Solutions Ltd acquisition. The new DCOE adds six distinct data and analytics solutions to MentorMate’s already robust portfolio of custom software services: Predictive Analytics, Data Design & Architecture, Data Development & Testing, Performance Tuning, Data Migration, and Business Intelligence & Analysis. “Today, as the use of data has moved from hype to reality, achieving digital transformation is unimaginable without leveraging data in a concerted, purposeful way,” says MentorMate CEO Björn Stansvik. “From initial idea to full data strategy implementation, our Data Center of Excellence is one key aspect of how we help clients move forward on their digital transformation journey.” In addition to launching its DCOE, MentorMate also announced a partnership with web-based data and AI platform Databricks. “We used to say that software is eating the world. With the advent of AI platforms like Databricks and the possibilities it opens up, it’s now safe to say that AI is eating software,” says VP of Strategic Growth Craig Knighton. “Databricks allows you to have all your data flowing into a data lake but can also be deployed on their platform with added governance and control. That’s useful to both the data scientists among us and those who gravitate towards classic analytics reports.” Since acquiring Data Cloud Solutions Ltd., the MentorMate DCOE team has grown to include 18 new data scientists and engineers in Bulgaria. Additionally, the company’s current iteration of its training program DevCamp has a cohort of 15 new professionals enrolled in its data track. These additions to the team bolster the Center’s already impressive list of certifications in AWS, Azure, Databricks, and Oracle. As the DCOE grows, MentorMate will continue to add new data-focused roles to its global team with a target of growing the practice to 100 team members by the end of 2023.
