MentorMate Earns Spot On The Flyover 50 MentorMate is recognized on the inaugural Flyover 50 list of fastest-growing companies in mid-America, earning a spot at number 14. MentorMate has been recognized on The Flyover 50, a list generated to honor the top 50 fastest-growing companies in the central parts of the country. The inaugural announcement was made on June 4th by Five Elms Capital, a Kansas-based venture capital firm. “We created The Flyover 50 to highlight great companies in the middle of the country for potential employees and customers,” said Fred Coulson, Managing Partner of Five Elms Capital. “Flyover 50 honorees are proof that there are plenty of reasons to land in the central U.S.” Leading all other Minnesota companies on the list at number 14, MentorMate is a full-service IT solutions company based in Minneapolis specializing in custom software development, most notably mobile and web applications. “In addition to serving our market leading client’s growing software applications, the push to go mobile as quickly as possible continues to fuel our 174% compounded annualized growth last month versus May 2010. It’s a phenomenon that is just getting warmed up!” says MentorMate’s CEO and Founder Björn Stansvik. Rankings were built from overall revenue growth percentage. In order to be eligible for consideration, companies had to be based in the 20-state area located in the middle of the country and have revenue greater than $1 million in 2011. MentorMate’s monthly revenues are on track to achieve ten times that before this time next year. Other Minnesota companies receiving a nod on The Flyover 50 include The Nerdery and mPay Gateway. 2012 marks the first year the list has been assembled and, moving forward, it is to be positioned as a yearly installment.
