How does a young person get into technology? There are countless possible narratives, but the most interesting one is watching your father solder and assemble your first computer (Pravetz 82) piece by piece. Ever since that moment, Hristo has continuously fueled his interest in technology which, other than being his profession, is also his hobby, responsibility, and a dream come true.
Hristo began his career in the software industry as a Systems Administrator for an Internet, IPTV & VoIP provider. He joined one of the biggest telecommunication companies as an IPTV engineer four years later. After he had developed his skills further, he started working for a British company where he supported and developed television services for some of the big telecoms in Europe.
The positive results of applying DevOps practices decisively pointed to the future direction of his professional development. He became a part of MentorMate’s Cloud team in 2019, and ever since then; he has dived deeper into the Cloud provider services of AWS & Azure, receiving various certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, AWS Certified Developer – Associate. His future career interests lie in serverless computing and machine learning.
Outside of the office, Hristo enjoys reading, watching movies, and hiking in nature. Another passion of his is boxing.
