Today, he leads our Android internship program! He’s watched MentorMate grow from around 100 people to well over 600. With that growth, he’s also helped the Android team grow as well. Throughout his time at MentorMate, he’s had the opportunity to work on a lot of diverse projects for apps in charity, weather, and indexes. But by far the most interesting app he worked on is AgJunction, an autosteering app for tractors. His most recent project was in the sphere of diabetes care which he also really enjoyed. Outside of work, Georgi enjoys reading books, watching TV shows and movies, and going for long walks or easy hikes. He also likes to cook sometimes and recently got into fortune-telling and tarot. Like many on our technical teams, Georgi likes to participate in hackathons as often as possible. One thing Georgi can’t live without is a little bit of thrill, challenge, or a problem to solve. He feels that things need to happen or life is dull and you’re not evolving as a person. When he asked my colleagues to describe him in three words, the top answers were: principled, responsible, and diligent. Although, stubborn almost made the cut. Things that truly make Georgi happy are eating ice cream, which I love even during the winter, and a glass of traditional Bulgarian drink.
